June’s been hot, sticky, and busy for us.
Father’s Day is a big event at The Book of Everyone. Not just because of The Book of Dad – but because many of us are fathers ourselves.
To celebrate fathers everywhere, our design team cooked up beautiful new door hangers just for Dad (because what he really wants this year is to catch a few more Zzzzz’s). One design for the Dad that’s always pulling your leg, and another for the classy cufflinked Father.
We also started printing and shipping all our books from the UK, including our US books (which used to be printed in New York). This has meant shorter shipping times for everyone, but it hasn’t been without its growing pains – some people have had to wait longer than usual for their books while we iron out the bumps. Our lovely Customer Happiness team has been working overtime to ensure everyone knows where their books are.
Speaking of the Customer Happiness team, their Fantastic Fund initiative is up and running. They use it to send special goodies to our lovely customers who deserve a little pick-me-up, and have sent out gourmet chocolates, specialty teas, and personalised stickers in June alone.
The tech guys have been burning the midnight oil reverse engineering the code that makes our book builder work its magic. Because they’re always learning, they also sponsored the Barcelona Elixir meetup this month. They met plenty of great folks and plenty of great beers.
Finally, we ended up selling just over ten thousand Father’s Day books total – which we hope means just over ten thousand proud fathers out there all over the world.
COMING UP NEXT MONTH:
- The blog is back! Well. It’s already back. But it’ll be even back-er.
- Our writer Ben Hardy will attend Jimmy’s Festival along with the kind folks at Autism Anglia, with whom we’ve been collaborating over the past months. Come see us at their booth!
- We’re updating Wise Words to become even wiser with a whole host of brand new designs.
Everyone’s got a story. That’s why we started The Book of Everyone – to help you celebrate the awe-inspiring, utterly marvellous stories of the people you love. So who do you know that deserves a book with their name on the cover?
